I’m actually using it right now to write this blog post, because maybe just maybe, I’m speaking from personal experience when I talk about those neighbors who periodically get their utilities turned off. Now sharing my hotspot for all those that may be in need up to 8 devices.įor those that are unable to use the wifi mode in Foxfi, don't forget to create a hotspot via computer while tethering and remember to create a one click shortcut. In case you are wondering, yes this app currently works for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Through Foxfi hotspot, my service bars has increased as well, topping out around 33,000 kps. My Note 4 still says 4.4.4 but FoxFi does work with the Verizon update that was just pushed out recently. For those lucky enough to remain unlimited data on Verizon, the $50 spent for a new/older model droid was well worth the cost, compared to spending the $700 for a Samsung to retrieve the Foxfi wifi mode. I take back my earlier Android 5.0.1 update and FoxFi. ![]() Voila! Foxfi hotspot is working great again! Verizon no longer updates those models to the latest build, thereby keeping my current build on 4.1.2. After years of getting nowhere with foxfi hotspot on a Droid Maxx other than tethering and creating a hotspot via computer, and literally spading my Maxx with a shovel, I activated a back up phone, a droid razr with micro hdmi.
